This is a step-by-step procedure on how to make userboxes. Userboxes are cool little boxes that express your feelings about a certain topic.

Step 1[]

Create a new page. Call it Template:USERBOXNAME. e.g. Template:Amfieshipper

When you get it, you will see this: Write the text of your article here!

Delete that and copy this:

{| cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" style="width:260px; background: COLORNAME; border:2px solid black;"

|-

| style="width:45px; height:45px; background: COLORNAME; text-align:center; font-size:14pt; font-color: midnightblack;" |[[File:FILENAME|100px]]

| style="font-size:11pt; padding:4pt; line-height:1.25em;" | WRITETEXTHERE

|}

Step 2[]

Where it says 'COLORNAME', write the hex code of the colour. (To find the hex codes, go on Wikipedia and search List of Colors. You'll find all the colors there and their hex codes in alphabetical order. But when you do, remember to put the # sign in front of it! e.g. #FF0066.)

Where it says 'FILENAME', write the file name of the photo. (To find the file name, click 'Add Photo', find your photo and move your mouse over it. It will say the file name. e.g. AMillington.jpg.)

Where it says 'WRITETHETEXTHERE', write what you want to say. e.g. This user loves Amber! (If you want to add a link, put the thing you want the link for in these brackets: [[]]. If the name of the page is different to the text you want to display simply do this. e.g. This user loves Amber!)

Step 3[]

Click 'Publish' and you should (hopefully) have your userbox! To use it on your profile, type the template code on your profile. e.g. you would type {{Amber}} to get this userbox:

AmberS3two This user loves Amber!

And that's it! If you've created a userbox, message one of our admins and we'll add it if we think it is acceptable. If you have any further problems, feel free to ask our admins or anyone else who is skilled in making userboxes!
